HearthPR is a family-owned, boutique music publicity firm in Shoreline, Washington in the verdant Pacific Northwest. At our core, we love to tell stories and team up with artists who have powerful creative perspectives.
Outside of being publicists, we’re writers. We love to talk about music and share the songs we love the most. Where other PR firms might operate on hype, we believe our contacts are looking for great music and great stories. Time and again we hear from them how much they love what we share with them. This kind of passion for art is infectious.
We owe our success to all of our friends in radio and press who’ve been so supportive of us, and to the amazing artists we’ve been fortunate enough to work with. Here’s a little bit about our team.

Founder & Director
Devon founded Hearth in 2010 after spending six years as the lead booker for Seattle’s Northwest Folklife Festival. A graduate of the University of Washington’s Ethnomusicology program, Devon brings a wide knowledge of music traditions and a passion for community music making. He’s also a prolific freelance music journalist, writing about and interviewing the best young roots musicians in the US and abroad with a focus on marginalized artists in the folk community. Devon also researches Acadian fiddle traditions, an interest from his own heritage, and has been traveling back to the Maritime provinces to find and record elder fiddlers.

Carl-Eric is a songwriter and publicist from Seattle, who began his PR career at 58North before coming to Hearth PR. Born and raised in Washington State, from an early age he spent a lot of time in Norway, where he developed a love for Scandinavian music and travel, spending his grandparents’ money on CDs and the plane ride home thinking about what constitutes “folk” and “popular” music.
